I guess I disagree somewhat there. But then I think that the usability boost is worth it. It's also important to remember that this would be an alternate compliment to traditional themes, so you don't need to use it if you don't want to.
...we're talking on linux, av is (nearly) irrelevant. And you're just drawing window borders. Nothing complex, no javascript, nothing like that. just rendering a little box. I really doubt it'll be much more overhead than any other option.
Certainly possible. She was pretty weird. Though she probably didn't like me since I talked about hacking a bit, and I don't ever think i clarified the term adequately.
Actually, I was given the test a couple years ago. (I was 17 then)
Though, they ended up saying I was psychotic, and nobody else bought it (other psychologists, etc), so who knows. At least i'm immune to the damage now. =P
That's kind of not what I meant.
I was more meaning that it would be nice if more applications could store/restore their running state/layout/etc, so i don't have to take the time to open a billion things every time I boot. =P
It breaks to heck on a lot of things? You make a good point though, session/state preservation is something that improvements to in many areas would be nice. At least browsers are starting to do it somewhat decently.
Wow. Makes me think of how I gave up trying to learn java initially when I was 9 or so (I'm 18 now)... I wish someone had given me that kind of push then.. though at least I do know java now. But still. That's really cool.
I think the mystery is half the fun. Also, it's hard to allow users customization without keeping the options more limited/having possible balance issues, i'd think. Plus, it's/cool/.
I don't really think that's what wikileaks is about. It's to provide a safe avenue for the release of sensitive information. Information you might get in trouble for posing. It's an avenue for free speech. A way to show government and corporate corruption, bring light to things that people would often be too afraid to speak of. I don't disagree that it certainly can be misused, but I think you're missing the idea of free information, and just preaching the idea of security by obscurity (if they don't know how to build a bomb...).
Just get a big cannon/artillery gun/icbm and fire tapes of data, or flash drives even. Just stuff them into nerf balls. It'll work great, like a sneakernet but with explosions.:D

...but still not 4x it
aha, interesting. Thats a lot of crawlers o.o;

what's the rest? that doesnt nearly add up to 100%.

But the seats were soft and you had more leg room.
You mean seat. IE6 could only hold one at a time.
Not as many as those that end up with those weird-ass windows bootup sounds, i'm willing to bet.
Indeed. I generally only consider purchasing content after i've seen if it's worth it. Why would I buy a movie/song/etc that sucked?
Yarr, space piracy be the way of the future!
Yeah, but they have to pay for the "process for encoding information as electrical impulses" patent anyway, so it's fair.
I'm not sure if titles like GTA IV or Crysis or CoD4 would have the same impact if they looked like Pokemon.
"I choose you pikachu! Steal that tank for me!"
I dunno, seems like a good idea to me.

If my laptop booted faster I'd be more likely to boot it down and carry it around. Enough of a reason to complain about boot times imo.

Wait, so computers are people now too, like corporations? golly.

Do you, by chance, play eve online? =P
Wow. have you tried using something to change your useragent for that page? It might be coded for IE, but still worth a shot.
Your work's IT people arent nice enough to install another browser? D:

Yes, much more so, thank you =)
