If there's so much pollution and it's killing us all, why are we living so much longer now then we were at the beginning of the 20th century? How about if you just leave me alone to make my own choices and stop 'taxing' me for living? Don't I have a right to my own life, to be decided as I see fit? The argument over how make to taxing people and companies 'simpler' seems like a smoke screen.
Does it not scare anyone that the government is 'voting' away our ability to exist? It's a fact of existence that without expending energy--cheap energy, we can't exist. What this in effect says is that we must limit how much energy we use and expend. By doing so we're limiting how much we can live. The concept of the public good is a fraud and this bill is just another attempt at putting that fraud over on people. At least the Australians are coming to their senses.
Does this go along with the plan to put steel mills in everyone's backyards? Is this the role of our government? Have the scientists whored themselves out so badly that this is all they have left?
When did we start offering offices to czars? I don't see any emperors or kings in charge of this country. And doesn't our constitution say something about not allowing titles of nobility? The government is like a child who constantly tests it boundaries and so far nobody's doing anything about it.

Wow, people are upset because a company won't submit to being taxed? Sure is tacky of Amazon not to roll over for government money grabs.

You know if there wasn't any income taxes, we wouldn't have to pay more taxes to have government officials chasing down women trying to make a living.
