Personally I dont get offended by the song "Blame Canada", in fact its really quite funny. I dont see how you can say Jim Carrey didn't get nominated solely based on the fact that he's canadian, actors that do comedy's never win.. look how long it took Robin Williams to win anything! I do think some Americans tend to be egotistical, and know absolutely nothing outside their own country! You dont know how many times i've seen athletes come up here and wonder why there is no snow on the ground, or people come to town in July with ski's on the roof wondering where the nearest place to ski is. I think Americans need to be educated on other cultures and countries other then their own. I'm also quite surprised at how many think Canadian entertainers are American. Here's a short list of Canadians some of you might be surprised to see. actors/actresses Pamela Anderson Brendan Fraser Keenu Reeves (raised in TO) Jim Carrey (there's dozens more) Singers/bands the guess who the band rush Neil young our lady peace celine dion (cough cough) etc etc etc
