Without a doubt the best monster is Godzilla. I've seen the documentaries starting way back in the 50's so I know he's real. He's also an environmentalist way before his time.
The cowboy bebop movie takes place between episodes 22 and 23. Oh and thanks for ruining the ending for those who haven't seen the all the sessions yet, troll.
The Nasdaq is down.
The Bush lead is Up.
Iridium is still Up.
Mir is Scheduled to be down.
The tempature in Dallas is down.
The enitre CNN web page is nothing but arrows!
At least the Ike for president fiasco is over!
First, Granola snacks to Jon. It sounds like you did make at least a small difference in the presentation of the web site and the companies view. Don't feel upset that you couldn't topple a corporation on one meeting. I feel the same way about corporatism that you do. Outside of visiting HQ (We don't get invites for tea at Micro$oft all that often any more) the best things to do if you don't like this stuff is to get political. I propose a slushdot fund to buy some sleezy (and yet very effective) lobbyist in DC? Put your money where your mouth is and don't forget to vote! I blame the backward state of North Carolina as much as Pinkerton in this case. Who voted these nutcases in office anyway. Nobody, that's who. North Carolina has one of the lowest voter turnouts in the country.
Back to the subject matter at hand...Do I understand this correctly? They want the children in school to psycho-analyze each other? Since the schools are underfunded, should we get rid of the teachers too and have the students teach each other? Schools should cater to students they as if they were the first class passengers on a luxary liner. They shouldn't be required to do anything for themselves except learn.
Consumers are idiots! Companies do not have the *job* of being socially responsible? Actually they do. Ford cannot make a car out of cardboard without seatbelts because that would be illegal. Why is it illegal? Because it's dangerous to the consumer! I think we'd like to think that we live in a cavet empor world but that's not the case. The government protects consumers from companies that solicite dangerous items and services. They even regulate many of the processes and labor used to make these goods. But, the government doesn't go all the way to removing all the social responsiblity from the companies. There is still a lot of nasty behavior going on out there. That's where consumers need to put their money where their mouths are. That goes for investors too. Or, do you believe that citizens are also only responsible for collecting a paycheck and paying taxes?
I read that they were allowed to use the NASA logo because NASA got script approval and made some cash selling their consulting services to hollywood. Now, I'm all for NASA collecting money from the private sector. Over the last few years they have realized that their image, exposure, and expertise are marketable and their goverment funding is slipping. I think it's great, and who better to rape money from than hollywood, an industry with far too much cash, and too little concern for any real world issues. This piece of garbage is not the kind of thing NASA needs to improve their image. If they are simply going to collect cash and dish information from intern trek-junkies then this is a step in the wrong direction. Please offer real consulting services and attach your name to a film that won't be forgotten by this fall's "Red Planet" (A script that NASA turned down).
Is this phrase next?

Does this mean Mr. Kernighan is out of job?
