    Im sure the real turing was more of a team player than shown in the film.

    Who are you to be sure? Nowadays movies about heroes are all about emphasizing good points and hiding weaknesses/flaws. So it is likely the real Turing was even less of a team player.

    Usually mysql and the like are started by root, but immediately do a setuid (mysql user). These processes will not be killed at log-off.

    mysql is started by root and setuid(mysql) ... the mysql user doesn't log in, the others neither... wtf are you saying?

    That was "nohup", indeed. An options can take care of the "Exception" - or change to System V.

    Log out = no more of your processes. Normal. Having "nohang" processes, for a regular user != root, is the exception.

    The guy pumped and untared a tar.gz he found on the Net somewhere in a "docs" folder. Probably from the billions available from the US. That happens all the time in Western countries, but since it's NK, that makes the news.

    Many people are still using v6 because of the many incompatibilities between 6 & 7. This is the real mess. Anyway, regarding apps/ergonomics/utilities, even v7 (desktop) is way behind other modern distros. Probably you didn't use v6 and/or v7, or didn't upgrade from v6 to v7, or didn't use any other modern distros. Well, I did all of that, for professional and personal reasons.
