No offense, but considering how difficult it seems to be to implement a couple of new features on the site, they wouldn't push the hard work to perform that level of algorithmics... [ anyway, in Chrome open the dev tools / console, and check if there're any XMLHTTPrequests going on when you type a comment ]

    Since that spectacular slowdown seems due to the earth core, it can hardly be linked to global warming, for a change.

    It seems to be more likely due to the earth core cyclic moves and ... slowdowns.

    You're joking, but it's a cycle, which reason is not fully understood yet. Earth deceleration is about 1.7 ms a century. That made the recent negative acceleration 15 times 'faster' than usual.

    I always like to remind people that Fukushima is located in an earthquake friendly zone, near a subduction zone, facing the pacific ocean where it's prone to tsunamis that might be huge.

    I concur. Tried FF (vs Chrome) for a couple days and 1) indeed very fast 2) cuts lots of crap as is (ie without add ons) 3) efficient media / video.

    Well, when the screen is cold oled doesn't like that. So they just added a `while (1);` loop in the background that makes the CPU gently warm the screen up.

    They should fork() the tabs instead of threading - which memory allocation is harder to control (since kill() after fork() simply remove any malloc() allocation automatically)

    Unfair comparison. We've been used to a way better service with Apple, and we see that wonder fading away.

    This is actually the ultimate hidden feature of the new phone: it's an X, that you replace with whatever number suits you. If you think the iPhone 6 was better, just apply "X = 5" to get immediately satisfied.

    Apple of course never even replies to bug reports, even those submitted by registered developers. Their arrogance is comparable to MSFT's in the 1990s.

    Indeed! Oh I remember how MS devs answered bug reports in forums, full of arrogance, the best you could get was "Try to post in this other forum"...

    No it's Apple. That's Apple trend since a couple years ago. Little by little the iPhone is becoming a Potemkin village. Nice outside, questionable inside. No more attention to detail, obvious bugs that should be found and fixed easily, rough design ; either the CEO makes bad choices, or he is unable to manage his staff.
