To those of you who take the position, "so what if Napster is gone, there are even better alternatives" remind me of my father, whenever the subject of any problems looming in the future responds with, "Hell, I would be alive then, who cares". Napster has always taken the position that it is about building a community. This means we band together and we care about the future and we care about the issues larger than ourselves. I believe that no one has the right to tell me what bits go in and out of my house. The RIAA, MPAA, SPA, and other pig farms have not lose anything other then control. They are evil and laws like the DMCA are evil. They must be opposed. The artists will be reward. It is the controlling corporate dinosaurs that will free the fire of the asteriod of our Nu Community. Yesterday, I was dreaming of a boycott of both the RIAA and the MPAA. The CD/Videos stores, movie theaters - anywhere that RIAA/MPAA members suck the 90% of the gross and demand total control - were empty. Only the used shops and the independent labels were selling. The community all banded together for freedom.

Some kind of code that does not look like a code is called for. I'm wonder if a special kind, encoded by DHTML or XML or Unicode somehow would work, but seriously, anything discussed here would give it away.
Historically, the majority of the employee of U.S.'s Central Intelligence Agency spends time reviewing publications from around the world, looking for interesting things. I'm sure that these days, they are review all that is onlineand I am very sure that it is NOT just the U.S.'s spooks that are doing it.

I drove over 300 miles to Fantasia 2000 in IMAX. I was duped. Blowing up a 35mm to IMAX is just trashy. It reeks. And only 76 minutes! DO NOT go see this in IMAX, especially if they have the "Cyberworld" trailer. The crisp beauty of the "Cyberworld"'s visual will ruin it for you - it is a REAL IMAX picture, not a raggy fuzzy blowup doll. I wish Walt would crawl out of the grave and choke Michael Eisner. And this file is so unoriginal - it has been over 50 years since the original! Except for the last two pieces, it is lame, lame, lame. Do not pay for this piece of trash.
Of course, I would rather download movies down a nice fat fiber optic pipe instead of having to rent from the store - taking them back on time is such a drag! BUT check out http://www.nytimes.com/library/tech/00/02/cyber/cy berlaw/18law.html. Yahoo/Broadcast.com is a Stalker! And they are being sued for it in Fort Worth, Texas...... I beinging to think that cookies are not worth it. Sure, it is damn near impossible to surf with cookies turn off but maybe it is time to create an open source browser that just toss them all way.... I dunno. I'm just sooo sick of this corporate pigs who think that have the right to stalk me and whore for my eyeballs yet want to make reselling old software illegal (UCITA), reverse engineering illegal (MPAA vs. DeCSS/UCITA again), sharing music with porn comeons and a sea of dead links illegal (RIAA vs. Napster) and again reverse engineering a sin (Napster vs. David Weekly, the hypocritcs!), bully some artists domain (The etoy.WAR!) and on and on and on....I'm in danger of turning into a latter Lenny Bruce - after he lost his sense of humor....The recent DOS attacks are lame sure. But it's being to be understandable....... sheesh "can't we all get along? Can't we people?"....... Well maybe (with apologies to Thomas Jefferson) the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with packets of cyberfreedom fighters and capitalistpigs.com. The coolest moment in all of this so far is when the etoy.WAR forced eToys.com's stock way down. No violence - just (in the spirit of Xena, the account) "BANKRUPT THEM ALL!!!!"....
