  1. Another good one: on Fred Moody Says Linux Worst Operating System Ever · · Score: 1

Microsoft's Windows NT is the runaway market leader
The runaway market leader huh? Ever seen the Netcraft surveys? Which server has over 60% of of the pie? Which OS(es) does this server happen to run on? Which OS is the internet based on? Which has been around longer? Which one is actually a multiuser system?

  2. And well I'm at it on Diablo 2 Finally Hits Shelves · · Score: 1

It is nice to see Rob and the Gang supporting the Linux version(s) of these popular games by going right out and contributing their $50 to the windows version sales, then promptly booting up That Other OS and helping to overload Blizzard's servers. Glad to see you've got integrity, guys.

  3. A good idea but... on Anti-Spam law Passed in Colorado · · Score: 1
The internet has only come into the focus of American mass media within the last 10 years, at the most. This is yet another example of us trying to apply our laws to an entity for which they were not meant.
Its a nice thought though. I've personally been on the Spamlist from Hell for over a year now. Every message has forged headers, often bounced from an insecure wingate through an insecure SMTP server in an international domain, and each message had a bogus URL to remove yourself.
As far as Colorado's law goes, it would be extremely difficult to track these people down because we have no idea where the message originated from, and no logs from the insecure host to check against.
On top of that, They send almost 3 messages a day, so it would be quite a tedious to check into each one.
This is already getting too long so I'll wrap it up:
Althought Colorado has a good idea, it will fall through or be blatantly ignored because these people will find a loophole. Unless an ISP detects a lot of violating mail coming from one host or domain (which in my case it did not) then they might be able to put a stop to it. Else this is just going to be another fruitless attempt to regulate that which we are not prepared to regulate. The government needs to be more creative than this to solve this problem.
