I think people are going to miss read what Dr. Bennent said about computers, he was refering to the use of technology getting a "F-." We all know that the TYPICAL teacher does not like technology to the point of thinking it is encroaching on their jobs.
Look into Elron's Internet Manager. It has lists of words that have to happen so many times, and then how many of those get hit. The have info on their website. Easy way to explain it, blocks the way that search engines work, based on keywords. The key is DYNAMIC blocking!

Ok, this looks like it is a part of the new MS only good news stragety. The main problem I see is that Slashdot is not an ISP. This page would have never been found by M$ lawyers if they would have kept it "slashdot.org" Neil
They are doing more in the business to business, custom work. There is a need for companies like this. Basicly consider them for long term projects that a couple of posts to a newsgroup won't handle
This would be sooo easy to convert into a Citrix client, instead of a $500 winterm. Or use it as a x workstation, so that i can surf from other rooms or have a central database and access it from most rooms in my house. Sell 5 of these for start of an automated house! (add x10 and interface it into these boxes) Neil
The main factors are, can the buyer make $250 in less then three years to pay for the site. If it is a startup then maybe not. If is i high traffic pass-through, or the hits are not unique then it may not be worth piss! Find a ballpark of what they think it is worth. Make sure that you break down the money that they COULD bring in so they know you are just trying to take them to the cleaners. (they are most likely expecting something in the $30k range)
There are many schools that are piloting small programs, and distance learning/independant studies are quite popular, so this is going to happen, just he is giving and ENDOWMENT to cover the startup/operation of the school, so what ever money they make in interest/investments, that goes toward technology/paychecks/other expenses.
