The comparison in the article about selling a brass ring as a gold one really rings true. If you download this 'open' software and then make changes and apple implements your changes you should get some credit. It sounds like they want the best of everything for themselves.
We knew this was coming. I don't want people to lose their rights to free speech, but they should be responsible for what they say. Using the AC system people can just make shit up and never have to validate their claims. If your gonna say something have the balls to put your name on it.
I remember some smart-ass remarks from opera saying the would never support the GNU/Linux platform. It might have been in a newsgroup or something. I have not used it because of these statements, and I probably never will.
It is sad to see a good thing go away.
