Mattel can change the license alright, if they release another version of it:). They cannot however, change the license on software that has already been released. end of story. With copies of that software comes the right to distribute it as much as you want...
Instead of having it go "BOOM" as outlined above, why not just have a large quantity of thermite inside that will ignite and melt all the internal circuitry (at the high temperature thermite burns at)
Heh, that reminds me of when i was a small child, playing on my Vic-20. I had heard my dad watching a movie, something similar to wargames, and saying "ha! computers dont chirp when you type stuff...", so i wrote a quick program for my vic-20 that chirped at every keystroke and showed it onscreen. man those were the days when people were easily impressed (i sure was, i was 8!)
Hmmm... now all i need...

All I need now is an external transceiver for my palmpilot... mwhahahaaha... Have it send every possible signal. Then the whole building will be after me... And out of a large crowd of women running towards me, *one* of them have gotta want me. doesn't matter anyway, i'm great with my current situation, but it would be *so* much fun to get a whole restaurant of single women chasing me!

That is a very scary comment.. Scary because it seems so true, so possible for a *ahem* crooked business to do. It would first seem like a "convenience" that the wealthy had, so everyone would want one. The restaurants would adapt and get the equipment so that people would love coming there. Then we would find out that the government, or a private organization, has been profiling every one of the users. CHAOS!
I am guessing that all Slackware binaries for 7.0 take up several hundred megs. A great idea would be to have it download a small installation (zipslack comes to mind), install that, and then add what packages you want after (?). Sounds like a good idea to me at least. Now all I need is to get this implemented so i can get linux on my old machine:)

Go back to making Barbie's Mattel!
or they could just put the same amount of protection they give soldiers going into battle against bio/chem warfare... a mask.
