    All people are stupid and lack discipline. You are no exception. Even if you are better than average now, you were incredibly stupid and weak willed when you were a teenager.

    Your suggestion to evolutionarily select against risk-tolerance and sex drive would lead to a lifeless, dull, and directionless race. I suggest you wrap yourself in bubble wrap and don't ever ride in a car again. Stay home posting to slashdot--that's safest.

    My understanding is that these problems allow someone who has the ability to execute code on the system to escalate privileges (get root).

    Single-user systems would not be affected.

    Take a moment to understand begs the question to avoid future "embarassment[sic]" on this point.

    Since you're pointing out technicalities, I'm going to go ahead and point out that "of" will almost never follow most, but "have" quite often will. Your situation is the latter.

    Good research wouldn't assume anything for which there is no evidence. But, if a working assumption must be made, assuming something magical (such as "gods/unicorns/santa clause did it") would get you laughed out of any academic organization except for Liberty University.

    Actually, that begs the question of how the system originally came to be. I had to point that out since you have logic in your sig.

    Sure, some people would look at evolution and assume a clever god must of created it. Unfortunately for them, there is no evidence to support that idea, so your use of the phrase "anyone else [other than biblical literalists]" is out of line.

    You obviously aren't a male of european ancestry. That automatically disqualifies you for nearly all scholarship money.

    I have a rich white friend who had a grandparent who was partially hispanic. She got all of her undergrad AND medical school paid for because she is hispanic (less than 25%) and female!

    The USA educational system is a racist, sexist hypocrisy. Poor white boys have a precious few scholarship dollars they must compete for. Rich white girls have money thrown at them if they can somehow claim to be "minority."

    Myspace is an enormously popular dating site. It's better than other dating sites because you can use it without admitting to yourself that you use a dating site.

    I've found dates on it. I've also found friends and drinking buddies that I meet up with IRL. We are talking about people in their mid twenties, here.

    If you think social networking sites are all for kids, you have obviously only been to kids' pages on them. What are you, some kind of pervert?

    In most parts of the country it is possible to make $50k AND own a home, two cars, a motorcycle, and a boat--with no debt (except a mortgage).

    You don't have to live downtown, you don't need 4k square feet, and you don't need to buy new vehicles; used and still under warranty is almost as good and half the price.

    If you can find so much money in the private sector, where is it? The best pay of the people I know (as in: $100k plus) is actually in DoD jobs. The private sector in Ohio seems to only pay $50-$80k for IT security jobs (which isn't impressive, considering the average Bachelor's Degree pays $56k).

    There's nothing wrong with Ohio (except for the snow and the rain), but my experience suggests that DoD pays significantly better than private industry! Is this wrong?
