The mavica FD-91 Does NOT suck. I have worked and owned Olympus digitals, Sony, and Kodak. If used in the proper setting the mavica does very well. It has great battery life, has been dependable for over 5000+ photos so far (alot I attribute to floppies). Yes it is NOT a high end camera, but it gives you many manual features photographers like. The Olympus and the Nikon are outstanding in there photos, if you want to shoot alot of photos, youd better get mass storage. As for the Kodak. I have been very disapointed in there quality and the batter life really sucks (useing both alkaline and nicads). As far as general every day use I like the Sony FD-91 ( I have all three brands at my disposal) and use the Sony all of the time. I shoot many photos in a day.
I have to release every thing to the press for our agency, infact it is now just emailed via a cron report. They love it but the press picks the stupid stories and prints them instead of the good ones, even though I give them all of the info.
The MSCE testing has produced a bunch of wanabe IS people that have not worked with anything but Microsoft. And are completely blind to other OS's. Then they don't want to work with any thing they don't know.
I'm not down grading the MSCE as much as I am the wanabes that take the test with no other experience, pass and thing they are IS.
I have to deal with Motorola at work at our 911 Center and they (the company) are horrible. There equiptment (hardware) is decent.
Our motorola dispatch consoles are stuck with NT that have to be rebooted about once a week (these are the computers that do ambulance, swat, fire paging). Our Linux consoles (that run several apps) have yet to fail in over a year. When I complained about this they said they will ONLY stick with NT.
Hey !!! for those who want to ask robix why they won't release a unix port or source, go to www.robix.com or email there comments email at: desk@robix.com
Last year I spoke to many venders and got alot of reactions you did.
But this year, I found many (Xerox, APC, WinTV,...) that were very helpful and were talking about doing more. WinTv for example told me last year, NO were are not doing anything with Linux. This year they had a display of there WinTV on Linux...
I have seen an overall improvement from last year. But yes you still have those Blind lost people who only know of windows or nt, because that took some cheap class (or expesive) for a week.
Heres a list of Sonys that will play CD-R's:

I agree, I also liked "On a Pale horse".

I haven't had any problem with the whay you are posting the new information. In fact its helped alot on knowing what apps or companies I can go to.
Thanks Sherm
I Can't agree more. This is as dumb as Patents for genes.

This company reminds me of some who watches another person smash there head against the wall, and says "that look like fun" and does it themselves.

I disagree. The more crap they add on, the more can go wrong. Windows 2000 is to bloated.

Steve ,
What do you think about Bill Gates buying a portion of Apple?
What will this do to Apples future?
Thanks Sherm
(a big fan of yours)
manufacturers don't want to spend the money and time to support all the operating systems..
They could at least release enough to have the drivers written by whoever wanted to write them..
