Law enforcement actually shows up and looks for stolen property??? I have been watching my stolen tablet on device manager for two days and I can't get the local police to do more than offer to forward me to the number to file a police report. I may need to think about moving to Kansas....
Sorry to break in a good argument, but while your view may well be more accurate the parent post was saying that the constitution does not grant rights but does recognize rights already in existence. The constitution used to be something the United States was operating under but it was so long ago I wouldn't expect too many people to remember what it said.
I don't usually post much, but I wanted to add one more voice to the thanks being shared./. has been my first landing spot on the web for what seems like always. I predate the internet and the web by a few years. I can't imagine what the web would look like without a slashdot to spread the word and provide a place for snarky comments that wouldn't have anyplace else to go.
Check out older ads, say from the 20s. You could learn all about the benefits of Dr. Smith's Radium Tablets or the PATENTED Electrification Machine! You know, all the stuff that really works that the FDA is keeping from us.
I've got an old version of Word that was ported to UNIX (in my case, an ATT7300) from back in the late '80s. Now I feel old. I also attended a microsoft product showoff where they gave a presentation on the upcoming generality of the ms platform. They knew that windows wouldn't fill every niche and it was something of a trend then, ala DW370 that would run on an IBM mainframe or a PC seamlessly (if you could figure out all of the key mappings and didn't mind that it was almost impossible to transfer files between the two systems). P.S. Word wasn't usable, but then again, not much was on the UNIX PC.
I thought cancer was already "solved" the same way Microsoft "solved" computer viruses. Which is why we still have cancer. And computer viruses.

Happy trails mate!
They also have your phone number, so they could just call you up and let you know...oh, sorry.

I guess I'm old, but I'd check to see if the bathroom light was out and interview a grue or two...
