And it's microsoft.com, the creator and perpetrator of Internet Explorer and Windows, the two biggest malwares ever invented. They should be shutdown immediately. Thanks.
You are missing the point here... this e-mail service is manly focused on the governament itself... it's made so that the governament can force every governament entity to use their solution instead of offloading it to google apps or making people use hotmail/gmail as I see in many situations...
this is a very welcomed step in the right direction...
I dont care if its Mir (which I found to be superior) or wayland (which I believe will be the one with fast adoption and fully supported by the restricted drivers)... just give me the fastest solution and for god sake, fix the starting up "resolution change thing" that make impossible to display a fucking logo correctly...
Ubuntu documentation lists some alternatives:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BackupYourSystem
one that is not listed there, and that I used many years ago is "UNISON"... I found it faster and better then rsync, also it does binary diff, so for big files that only "metadata" changed, it transfers faster.
we have every incentive to not upgrade...
also, gamer will find out that steam for linux is evolving everyday, being a viable alternative in the near future
Mir is another alternative/competitor to Xorg... the difference is that Mir is following the idea of a rigid protocol where Mir is following the idea of providing an API... both of then have drawbacks... but I'm confident that Mir could win the run. History has prooved that its not the "perfect engineered solution" that always win...
Despite of what you think... in the end... its all about user adoption.
(this kind of expressiveness cannot be achieved by java standard library)

even if it was slower, going away from javascript is always a good idea, if the alternative is a better programming language... JS is a mess!

the important question is... when we will see it delivered on Linux drivers?
