You can copyright != trademark. You can trademark words but not numbers. Trademarks for "Apple" and "Windows" exist but not "386" or "486". Thus the reason the Pentium (586) was born.
For a couple of years I worked at my School District. I started out by helping out the system admin who I later found out was incompetent. It was fun, it was hard, but most of all it was a learning experience. I am now working for the organization that took over my functions after I left. I learned so much but still I can see a problem with situations like this. The problem is that a student only stays in a school for an average of less then four years (figuring dropouts and transfers). You need someone that knows the system, can plug right wire and bring the whole thing back up. Knows the quirks, and can work around them. The same goes for programming. It can be good for something's but to center a business or IT department around students is just foolish.
Thnak you for your comments. I am not realy looking for more research. I am looking for something that i have not thought of, insperation and cool ideas.... I do not want anyone to write my paper for me... I was just looking for someone that could comprehend my topic, and could give me some insight.
Thank you for your comments... I want you to know that I have about 13 diffrent sources for my paper and have read over 400 page of information. I am doing research.. I was hoping that people like your self would have addition insight toward that topic that I had not thought of.
I just wanted to thank you.... The problem is that I have visited the libraries and was not satisfied with the results. I was only looking for additional insight, hoping that someone reading Slashdot would have some.
So far I have gone through over 400 pages of research. I was just looking to see the Slashdot communitys reaction / thoughts.. I also was trying to see if I had midded something.
I did not just cut and paste my assignment. It took a lot of time and thought to come to my topic. I thought that it would be that hardest paper to write and decided to try and tackle it. MF PS. So far I have gone through over 400 pages of research .

What standards? Can you realy tell me that they are realy going to Os there products and get ISO's on there ways and means? Yea right!!!!
