  1. Re:Moral stand? on RIAA Responds to Napster - Raises Serious Questions · · Score: 1

Its not the riaa, or napster (both are evil in their own ways) that Im against so much as it is the piracy. Im talking about the current method of distribution that assures us that we will get nothing but crap like spice girls, or n sync, one hit wonders, pay 20 dollars for a cd that has only one good song, rob from the poor, while giving to the rich. Peer to peer file sharing will help us get rid of this monster that we call the recording industry. The sooner it is destroyed on our grounds, the sooner we can put in a solution on our grounds that is fair to everyone, not just a few record executives.

Your missing the point. Its not over copyright theft, its over control. The MPAA wants to be able to control every aspect they can. Pay per view, banner advertisements. And with laws like the D.M.C.A. and CSS these things are possible. That is what they are fighting for, and were fighting against.

Gandis lead eh? Lets quota gandi 'given the choice between violence and cowardess, i would choose violence' 'the worste thing the british ever did was take our guns', etc, etc, etc. Stop getting your history from the movies. Gandi was a VERY VERY voilent man. The only reason he has a reputation as a non-violent man is because the british took their guns from them and they didnt have a choice.

  6. Stopping telemakreteres is EASY! on On DDoS, SPAM, Telemarketing And Harrasment? · · Score: 1

Its easy to stop them from calling you. 'Whats your address...please place me on your DO NOT CALL LIST' A federal law requires they keep a 'do not call' list for ten years. If they call you back, $10,000 dollar fine. And they take this VERY seriously. When I found out about that, I was getting 10 telemarketers a week calling me, after a week of that, it was close to two years before I heard from them again.

Im assuming (you know what assuming does right? it makes ass's out of u and m$ :P~) that they will place it in a registry, or something equaly senless like that.

Is it just me, or is placing the file system into the registry, or something similiar a REAL bad idea?
