Sweet. It's the talk client that handles all the market stuff, and if that's got multiple account support in honeycomb, then that's the reason why market does too
You're right, you can have multiple email addresses for gmail, but not for market. There's one account associated with your phone, and you can change it by either doing a reset, or crashing some of the framework files with root access
You need a Google account for Google services (market, gmail etc) but can set one up from the phone. And yes, android is pretty much a one user (well, email address) phone for the very same core services I mentioned.
Someone is confused by math and/or the word "almost".
MMI has billions in cash and equivalents on hand, and no debt[citation needed]. Google is effectively paying an amount roughly equal to their 2010 profits.
Preaching to the choir here, I have a Galaxy S II, and am well aware of the advantages and shortcomings of android. Just wanted to point out to GP that the things he mentioned are possible, even if you have to go through a few hoops. (JB and adapter for HDMI)
You can actually do all those things with an iPad... VLC for the media, jailbreak for the emulators, and a 30pin to HDMI connector that Apple sells for the HDMI
Galaxy s II bootloader is open.shame the current Gen of HTC devices with already locked bootloads (sensation, flyer) won't be unlocked though.
Sent from my Galaxy s ii
Talk is cheap, and I'll wait till HTC actually ship products with unlockable bootloaders. And their locked devices (sensation, flyer etc) most probably won't be unlocked.
Much prefer Samsung & LG's attitude. Once you go low enough there is no lock down at al
If they didn't, It'd be harder to pull stunts like closing the Honeycomb source.
They haven't closed the source, they're delaying the source because they're worried about the user experience when it inevitably gets ported to a phone. At the moment, honeycomb is designed to work on 1280x800 screen res devices, and that's it. They''ll release the source when it's ready.
i quoted a part of it, and was going to link to it but forgot. Meh
there's a difference between offensive, and defensive attacks.
Do you expect them to lie down while Apple try to systematically crush android OEMs?
Apple started it. To quote Gruber: "fair’s fair once you start shooting in a patent war, and Apple started the shooting in this one."

No, that link is unrelated to the android stuff.

Google also sell android to the ODMs. They pay for GAPPS

they've consolidated them to focus on their defence in this suit.

You a locked piece of garbage like Droid x2. That's your problem. Sent from my galaxy s ii
Flash video works pretty well on my galaxy s II. Handles 1080p YouTube videos like a champ too.
Urgh. Slashdot mobile site is an improvement, but still horrible to use in a handheld device. My comment is in the middle of no where :(

trending.
They stopped wikileaks from trending a while back too
ZTE the 4th largest phone maker in the world.

I'm pretty sure that video isn't for kids. Given the nature of Happy Tree Friends... http://bit.ly/igdpxc
Given the nature of Happy Tree Friends http://bit.ly/igdpxc I'm pretty sure it wasn't educational.
