Yes I know you can plug in an external monitor, but that defeats the purpose of a laptop doesn't it.:)
Tablets are easily rotated and don't work your arms too much and holding a netbook like a book doesn't cause that much strain either.:)
Ridicule may still occur.
The only major "failure" of AMD is that Intel lately managed to be noticeably ahead in both R&D and fab technology; there is nothing particuarly wrong with AMD tech, nothing that says "failure" - they are just behind.
I would not blame all of it on Intel, the manufacturing has not been yielding too well on the new techs. Which is contributing to the lower revenue for AMD. Someone needs to talk with the supply chain people about multiple sourcing of manufacturing.
Like solving problems currently applicable to stuff on Earth. Dunno' maybe outmaneuvering volcano ash?
I was thinking the same thing... though more on the lines of figuring out ways for cars to take advantage of gravity assists of a semi-truck passing on the highway or creating water slides where you get a few seconds of weightlessness.
Wait, maybe they only know how to do that in space. I don't know where my mind wanders sometimes.
