    whatever.

Has anyone asked why we use cars? I think it's just an assumption that we need cars. I think a nuclear(electric) powered rail transit system for mass commuting accross country, and also for large items would work as it did in the past(well steam trains anyways)...
and then instead of commuting to work we could live near enough to our workplaces to either ride the metro, the bus, a bike, or walk.

We didn't have cars 200 years ago, and people survived, I think we could probably figure out a way to do it again!

I was just involved in this discussion a second ago... our small ISP is creating a new brochure.
The older group feels the prices shouldn't be included so as to get people to call in, and thus allow our salesmen to hook them.

The younger generation (I'm 24 so I'll include myself) feels that the prices should be included with a "prices subject to change" waiver. This way we save our salesmen's time for potential clients rather than giving out directions, prices, and quotes over the phone. (i.e. they are actually out there selling)

I am not a huge Anime fan, but this definitely is a smart move, and one that will be common in the future. It just makes sense for any movie released in multiple languages to be on DVD vs. VHS for the subtitle/audio language selection features.

As for being released solely on DVD I am all for it! There are many reasons to go this route, VHS wears out, DVD's don't (within reason of course). The cool additional features, and the fact that the DVD medium is gaining popularity at a very high rate!

Harddrives are soon going to be as small as a matchbook, and able to hold as much data as a mainframe in 1976 could.

I am an amateur photographer, and have delved into pinhole photography before. Pinhole uses no glass, just a light limiting hole. Thus the image is completely in focus. When using a lens you need to adjust/define focus in order for your subject to be clear.

So, when working with huge chunks of glass, and mirrors, how do you adjust focus?
Do you guess the distance from your lens to your subject with a radio telescope?
what if your subject comes out blurred but that is actually what you are seeing?
how do you know when to sharpen it?

Also what is the realistic limit on size for the glass?
