Maybe BECAUSE LAN play got removed, they absolutely want to make sure Battle.net goes off without a hitch, which in turn is going to cause the delay. I'll accept that.
I'm very displeased with the removal of LAN, but that's implying that Battle.net is going to fail. If it doesn't, then no one's the wiser.
Being on top doesn't imply success. The longevity of a species with major/minor evolutionary changes would imply success.
