    I think the best idea in this field is detachable display (as seen in Toshiba). But the display must be "thin client", no tablet whatsoever.

    Computer wouldn't reboot to dos? Did you remove the floopy drive from your box? The BIOS image is small, you cat put it on the system formatted floppy. Flashing the bios from windows is like trying to replace the enginge in running car.
