Now what would really save some energy on many computers would be to disable Flash. Flash commercials on some sites really waste many CPU cycles (energy). On my poor old computer it is clearly visible on the CPU load:) If you are using a laptop it will also make your battery last longer as a bonus!
This would be great for underwater communication (as radio waves get absorbed by water). I would like one of these for my DIY underwater ROV - but I guess it won't affect Intel's buget that much:)/Thebadkarmaguy

I've also tried the script found on insecure.org on a Windows 7 machine, and it didn't work (added the missing "from socket import *" at the start).
No kidding, but this still.... seems to be a problem. And after that don't mention alsa, pulse, crap, crap, etc...
