Facebook share links/buttons are on many, many websites. Most people haven't figured this out yet. But they can still use it to build a profile about you.
People were and still are desperate and wanted something else than the establishment. With a lot of help from other people in his campaign he didn't mess up enough. And these people who voted for him clearly didn't believe someone would lie this much. Or most lilkely were desperate enough to have selective hearing. When trump said one thing one moment and an other an other moment they would say: ohh, he doesn't mean that about the second thing, because they like the first. That's not very rational.
And if you are using the trinitron monitor on a daily basis you are probably paying more in electricity than it would cost you to buy a new LCD every few years.
I think we can probably find an easier way to run a browser in a container on Linux than we can do that on Windows. That way we could probably find a way to prevent the malware getting out of the browser container and getting access to the files.
10 or probably even more years ago the German government started funding renewable energy production to get it to mass production level, these days they are funding energy storage.
Anyone want to discuss how their plans are not working ?

He does not argue it from an economic perspective, because he knows that economics can change easily (think cloud: it might be cheaper and you have less stuff to manage). Morality does not on a whim.
Then there is also Japan:

He only reads the words he can fit in his hands.
Reality always can always be bizarre than fiction. Fiction has to make sense otherwise people will say: this makes no sense and stop looking.
trump is 70 years old and not a great, euh, learner, I doubt he'll change his way.
Agreed.

Forget about the routers, etc. Actually, IoT lighting systems are perfect for real world attacks for getting data out of secure facilities.
Here is what was mentioned in the video:
"it still has a high power density that's key"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?... (it's not easy to listen to because the music is crap and to high in the mix)

If you think the same does not apply to Linux you are kidding yourself.
"cellular radio standards are subject to royalty-bearing software patents", aren't those just part of the base band processor ?
That would not impact anything of the rest of the phone.
Also it's not only the patents, also the laws and regulations which restrict what you can do.
The REAL questions that need to be addressed, is why we as consumers have allowed phones to be handled so different from PC's.
For mass market products, the market needs to create options. Currently, only 2 major options are available. Both do the same thing.
A smartphone is a computer and it's layers/abstractions all the way down, it's always been that way.
This actually doesn't sound like an abstraction, this looks more like:
on this layer, these APIs are for you to update and these APIs are for us to update.
All the carriers stopped doing that now
didn't the US make a law ? If so I would be surprised any carrier would go against that. :-)
There is no such thing.
Please learn the basics of cryptography. There are 2 big categories:
A: encryption schemes
B: cryptographic one-way hash
ROT13 goes in bucket A, SHA-1 goes in bucket B.
While we are on the subject, encryption schemes come in 2 flavours:
1: symmetric key encryption (same key)
2: Public key cryptography, or asymmetric cryptography
Go read a few Wikipedia pages, it's really not as hard as you would expect.
Almost looks like they able to handle the peaks by using renewables ?
The reason I even did was because I posted an other comment:
https://hardware.slashdot.org/...
Interesting, it took 5 minutes for this comment to even show up ?

Slashdot is working hard to change their customer satisfaction ! ;-)

Wwe are at about 7.5 billion people right now. The maximum we'll get is 9 billion as I understand it. Peak children has already happened.
So at least we know where things are going in that regard.
