yes, you're right. i'm not sure where i got the idea. Rob still should've credited the man with The Game though, that's a great movie, certainly better than alien3.
there will always be another option. you will never *have* to use AOL, and that means that you will never *have* to succumb to their evil evil grasp of controlling doom.
no, the kind of thinking that has to go is this "open source only" attitude. true, just because some company came up with something doesn't mean its good, but it doesn't mean its bad either. if this is a good thing for the format, you should stop whining about LAME, etc. because it doesn't matter.
I like the way i was fired by the movie theater i worked for (Regal Cinemas, sue me all you want;)). I went on leave for college, and they said i could come back and work on breaks if i notified them. Well, i came back for a weekend, and didn't wnat to work for just the two days, but when i tried to go see a free movie at another theater in the chain (something you're allowed to do) the guy called my theater and was told that i had quit, and that he'd have us arrested if we didn't leave right away.
come to think of it, my friend was fired from regal in a similar way: he requested something like two weeks off for something or other, and they basically told him that if he wanted that time off, he was quitting. maybe they don't like to sound mean, so they don't "fire" people, everyone just "quits." either way, don't ever work there. it sucks.
um. i'm curious, what gave you the impression that i'm having fun with Indrema, or that i'm a linux FAGGOT, or that i don't use FreeBSD? As a matter of fact, i do not currently have a linux box, just my main win2k box and my FreeBSD server. It was a joke. no need to troll.
hey, i'd like to thank whatever moderator gave me offtopic because they had their threshold set to 1 and didn't see the parent post which said the sega cd flopped.
oh, come off it, you know what i mean. its bad enough to play quake for a few hours and stay in your house to do it, but diablo players are as bad as evercrack addicts, they take the game with them wherever they go, its all they talk about. if i had a dime for every conversation i had to sit through at work about how much someone sold the golden helm of magic belt resistance with plus 300% turbo-ultra-golden-mystical-magical-defensive-offe nse, i'd be rich.

Maybe i'm an rpg-snob, but it seems to me that there's no point in even playing a multiplayer action shoot-em-up game and building up a character. its like an rpg for people who don't want to think, or an action game for people who can't handle action, and then it ends up not being enough of either. i can only barely stand people who play diablo, but people who advocate it as a great game or any kind of rpg are insane, and people who get so terribly upset when they lose their "secure" (note: believing anything Blizzard says is dumb anyway) characters are just annoying.
John F. answered all those questions, but in real life, John Flansburgh is the somewhat portly guy with the short hair and glasses who plays guitar. John Linnell is the thin guy with bulgy out eyes who looks like a heroin addict and plays the accordion and keyboard.
Here's my.sig again, probably'll get me modded down by some athiest who prefers closed source models.
Actually, I'd think it would be more offensive to christians who don't want their saviour to be used to promote some cause he isn't related to, such as open source.
Either way, I'm an agnostic, and I think its funny as hell:-P.
It's the right to unrestricted free speech, and that means free listening too. it means the government isn't allowed let people say whatever they want but stop people from listening.
If you say things the government doesn't like, and they still let you say them as long as you live ten stories underground in a padded cell with no one around for hundreds of miles, is that free speech, because they still let you talk?
In other words, if you don't want the government dictating the way your kids are raised, don't let the government raise your kids.
right. and just how are we supposed to just not let them, huh? Send them to private school, even though we can't afford to because we still have to pay for public schools? The point is, the government shouldn't be acting en loco parentis in the first place; it shouldn't be up to the parents to make sacrifices to avoid it.
...What's the deal with this Cybiko thing? anyone know? It looks rather cool, but 130 bucks for all that seems like a bit of a grift, and i haven't seen much press on it either way. anyone have one/seen one/strongly opinionated about them for no reason that can advise?

Yeah, you get the reaction where everyone buys your product and you become the market leader.
