* You are his local Computer Guru: you have to clean up his spyware-infected PC every month or two. Then you can tell to use Firefox in spite of never repairing his Computer.
* You are not: You don't care about his browser choice.
The 1.5 release has some nice new features, but there is one constant in every release: Firefox gets an augmenting chunk of memory. After a couple of hours, it is getting some 100 Mb of memory.
Similar things about the American agrarical industry:
* the use genetically modified crops,
* the use of synthetical hormones to grow the cattle
And that's also why the EU subsidised their farmers: we in Europe don't want to be dependant of the mass production!
This has nothing to do with inequality. The IFPI just has chosen 100 'victims' on who the started a juridical procedure. It stands the IFPI free to choose to who they want to do this.

They even have no foreign key support, no subqueries... In my opinion they have some better things to do than this (although it might be usefull).
I don't think they are really validated. In Europe, patents can only validated by a judge.
A little example: you have a patent on 'telnet' and I am selling an telnet application. You can go to a court to let a judge prohibit this. On that occasion the judge will decide whether your patent is valid or not.
