Faster browsing my arse. I haven't seen faster browsing in Firefox across two versions of Windows (2K & XP) and multiple versions of two Linux distros (RH & ML). On Windows IE beats the pants off it, and on Linux the bog standard Mozilla or Konq widdle on it. At one stage I would've loved to have moved to Firefox, but the amount of garbage being spouted about it at this stage, particularly by the fundamentalist tosspot evangelists, would put anyone off.
Is that the only example you could come up with? And the answer is probably yes anyway, it certainly wouldn't be the first time the CIA has interfered in African politics.
The UN and International Community, despite whatever rosy language they choose to use, don't give a shit about Iraq or Iraqis and will never give more than token help out of spite to the world's superpower.
Damn straight! The UN and International Community should be on-hand constantly to clean up America's messes!
Can't get much of an idea of scale from that photo, but it looks a lot like Mark Tilden's Robosapien, as previously reported on Slashdot. I guess the price would suggest it's a lot bigger, but Aibo ain't all that big and that's pretty expensive.:)
This whole theory that the media are propogating about worms being released by spammers to create a network of zombies they can use for spamming strikes me as illogical. I mean, if you were a spammer, would you announce the zombies to the world with a DDoS attack?
anyone searching for "Hutton inquiry" or "Hutton report" on the UK's most popular search engine Google is automatically directed to a paid-for link to BBC Online's own news coverage of the inquiry.
Bollocks, and everyone here knows it. This reporter hasn't a clue about technology and hence isn't qualified to write the article. Jack "Microsoft" Schofield could have written a less biased and idiotic article than this, and that's a statement and a half.
It shouldn't be opt-out in the first place, the checkbox on the membership page should be unchecked by default. If I want marketing guff, I'll ask for it thanks.
This is news? As linked, the Reg reported the first half of this story on the 15th, and the latter half was reported elsewhere earlier this week! Slashdot it turning into the equivalent of my dad at a party. "I can still do it son!"
Matthew, is Red Hat doing anything to resolve the massive issues the EOL policy has created in hosting facilities running Red Hat? As an example, see this thread on the EV1Servers (formerly Rackshack) forum, paying particular attention to posts by EV1Servers staff (with handles like *-EV1). I understand completely that Red Hat has not gained directly from hosting companies like EV1Servers running Red Hat, however there must be quite a few servers in there paying for Red Hat Network access, and now they will be left high and dry. And that's just one facility. Is Red Hat going to provide an upgrade path for these machines, or just let them sit there and turn into hax0r magnets?
(Note: I have no affiliation with EV1, beyond being a reluctant customer. But that's another story...)
the UN signed up in 1991 to cleanup Iraq, put in sanctions, rid it of the big nasty weapons... and who actually monitored it and enforced it? The US mostly
Which weapons would they be AC? Did the nasty Iraqis twow squeaky toys at diddums?
Well, the current US administration is the world leader in coming up with innovative new ways to trample the rights of it's citizens, it's only fair that it pass the knowledge along to other govs that haven't discovered, you know, email yet?
Gov.ie: "Sure and begorrah, it's like a phone, only with a typewriter! Isn't that great!"
The "main news services" in Ireland wouldn't know technology if it came up and bit them on the arse. There are three, possibly four, clueful tech journalists in Ireland, and two of them are tied to the Irish Times, which doesn't leave much to spread around the rest of the "main news services". The "main news services" is not the place to look for technology news. I thought every TD&H knew that.
The mobile phone companies in Ireland were retaining data for six years before the Data Protection Commissioner spotted it. See Joe Meade's speech at the forum here.
My prediction: the crazy communist ruskies are trying to find Atlantis ... or something
In that case they can just recycle any Clive Cussler book, and we can all vomit right the way through the movie. Yaaay, go Dirk!
Awww, isn't it sweet when they're this young and defenseless?

Not agreeing isn't the same as trolling, you retards.

Just throw everything you buy from Wal-Mart in the bin, save yourself the worry.

And I like the Guardian!

"Are you with the police?"
"No ma'am, we're musicians."
This comment is much funnier than the parent. Who's in charge around here?

Bah, politicians the world over suck.
You're thinking of interns.
