  1. FP! on Bero Quits Red Hat Over Treatment of KDE · · Score: 0

It is sad to see a product / company that has come so far, yet still struggles in such a way.

  2. I don't know until I pay attention on U.S. Logo-Free TV Broadcast Organizations? · · Score: 1

I personally can say that I never pay attention to what station I am watching. With a 100 stations to get through on any given night, I set my remote control on "high" and start clicking. If I find something interesting, I stay. Not until I find something worth sharing that I pay any attention to the little logos in the bottom of the screen. "Dude, you wont believe what they are showing on XYZ station!" Not that I like the logos, but I agree that they have gotten out of control. A couple of times I have even seen them putting logos on top of logos. Talk about getting confusing, and irritating.

  3. Re:Except For One Small Thing... on Pentium Throws a Fastball · · Score: 1

If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading in American History class about Native Americans playing a form of baseball when European settlers began coming to the "New World". Playing with a stick as a bat and a ball made from some sort of filled leather "ball". Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. But I doubt it.

  4. Hmm. Not what I would have done on Pentium Throws a Fastball · · Score: 1

talk about a good use for a PIII 850. I was thinking a game server. I guess you could use it to throw a couple of balls.

Not fair. I thought that I was the first to patent this. Looks like a mess-up at the patents office. You will be hearing from my lawyer!

  6. Good idea, bad idea on The Worst Of Times · · Score: 1

Many of these dot com ideas are thought up by the same people who run the marketing departments into the early hours of the morning. Control screen brightness and contrast through the internet?!? Why not a device to light all you candles at home from the internet. And a device to call the fire department from the internet. Sure there are some good ideas out there, but it is the poor excuses for dot com ideas like this one that have forced such scepticism on dot coms.
