That explains what is happening at Twitter pretty well. Thank you for the enlightenment. So, when can we expect Twitter to fester into nothingness? Will Reddit beat it there or last longer?

No, they actually do not. Government jobs currently have the equivilent of 401k, where you pay into the program that funds your retirement. The pensions went out long ago.

The retirement plan is ok, about equal to private sector, and the pay is pathetic. All a gov job offers any more is stability, and even that is questionable with all the budget issues recently.

  8. What is the Moon's orbital velocity? How will you reduce that speed to effect the orbital transfer to somehow hit the Earth?

  9. Well, what do you call someone with an X and Y chromosome and a penis who wears dresses and claims to be a feminist?

Personally, I call that a him, but it all depends.

  10. Perhaps over the course of centuries. Things don't just fall out of the sky, you have to reduce their orbital velocity enough for them to reenter, which is an enormous amount of energy in the case of the Moon. Otherwise, it will just orbit with the Moon, or slightly inside the Moon's orbit, and likely fall back to the Moon.

  11. The amount of energy that would need to be dumped into a rock to make it fall onto the Earth from the Moon is more than the amount of energy you could impart on the Earth. It is a completely stupid idea for an attack, it is an utter waste of energy. You would likely get more of an effect from shooting a laser of equivilent power output from the Moon, in which case, it is even easier to just attack the Earth from the Earth, why go to the Moon?

  12. You have to decelerate the rock from the Moon's orbital velocity, or the rock will just orbit the Moon.
