    Step 3: Digital Distribution/Projection.
I haven't got time (or the facts and figures) to go through the math, but even without compression, I think that a
movie recorded onto DVDs would take up a lot less space and be cheaper to mass produce than the equivalent
in film reels ready for projection. This brings about my second question. How many DVD disks would it take to
record a movie at "film level" resolution?

    4,000*2,000 * 4 * 24 * 60 * 120 =5,529,600,000,000
pixels color fps spm length total in bytes

    5,529,600,000,000/3,000,000,000 = 1843 3 gig dvd

What is to stop M$ from dissolving itself as a US firm, re-establishing itself in a country where the laws are more favorable ?

In short the goverment would call it treason and do its best to make an example out of microsoft. to prevent other corporations from "defecting" to dodge united states tax's and laws. Microsoft would be labled yellow bellied anti-american scum. No goverment body or contractor would be allowed to license microsoft products. as foreign company they would not be allowed to trade on the NASDAQ. There would be large tarifs on software and all products that did not meet the Terms set by the courts would be baned from import.

It's my opinon that the goverment would do every thing in it power to hurt microsoft for defecting.Microsoft would live on though after all the world is a very large place.

  6. What is being Pirated???? on Open Letter to the Emulation Community · · Score: 1

Perhaps we should start applying the term Salvaging To the preservation of roms and emulation of hardware. Piracy was the act of boarding a ship an plundering its cargo. Salvinging is the act of recovering materal from a ship which has sank. By naval law if a ship is abandond the salvager gets to keep it. So I propose the term "Salvage ware" To apply to abandond roms
