It is only a matter of time until Apple can do everything and then take control of every market in the world and then just shut everyone down...
People are worried about the end of the world in 2012 well the Mayans were really only predicting that Apple would take over the world.
Honestly thought if everyone really thinks that apple is going to completely shut down any of these companies they are insane. All it takes is one big game to come out (call of duty modern warfare 2) and then Microsoft and Sony will take the market right back. Unfortunately Nintendo took a risk with the Wii and it is a good family gaming system but the concept get old after a while and people start fading away from it.
Everyone is always attracted to newer ideas and will jump on and try out new games for phones because the fact of the matter is that people are not always sitting next to their TV, able to plug in a heavy and fairly large gaming console. So places like airports, cars, and many other situations, are an ideal alternative to get around the factors preventing people to game.
I feel that no matter who comes out with a game it will always be $60 until companies start making the normal starting price cheaper...
would be fantastic if games came out cheaper when they first come out but the reality is that companies need to make their money so they sell games for $60 until the demand for the item is too low in which case they will lower the price. At that point it opens the door top many more people who would be willing to buy the same game for $10 cheaper.
On the other hand though there are a lot of people who will know about the game when it first comes out and then forget about it by the time the price drops.
It is really a question of are you willing to sacrifice the extra $10 to get the game as soon as it comes out or save $10 after a few months or by buying used copies.
