Whats next? No longer can campus book stores sell used copies of books because the Book is still in print. While I do buy most of my books new except for the English, History, Economics, etc. the option should still exist to buy used books.
All they are using is transfering the ownership which is perfectly legal.
CDRW's work great for data such as MP3's. most of the mp3's i have are on my computer. I don't even bother to keep my CD's around anymore. Encode them to MP3's, make a playlist for them, and place them on a CDRW. Now if i need to hold data such as Images that will never be deleted or moved ill put them on a CDRW. The only thing i hope for is these things read Packet CD data so i dont have to change the way i place Data on a CD.
May I ask how he is supposed to do business without the use of computers? Cash registers, payroll, inventory, etc. all use computers these days,unless [of course] he wants to do all of this by hand.
Does he have the right to purchase computer equipment while not using it? It is also little bit difficult to open a bakeshop without the capital.
As for the Law school he would still need to get funding. The government will not give him financial aid. I'm also guessing that all reports would have to typed on a 1970s (or less) typewriter or pay someone to type it for you.

Unless the tape is using a medium that is different than normal VHS tapes and the magnetic fields are set to only react when this medium is detected.

Sure there might be ways to defeat the purpose but what is the point.
Go spend some money and buy the DVD you want. Sure its great to know hack such devices
