Weird. My experiences are the total opposite of yours. I have had Sprint in the Metro Detroit area for the last 15 years and I have had nothing but a positive experience. I don't drop calls and have great data speeds. I had the Razr at one point, moved on to some other dumb phones, had a slew of Palm devices, and now have a Hero. With each phone I have been completely satisfied in Metro Detroit and while traveling throughout the US.
Maybe because when you drink beer it's 6-10 at a time and you sit at a desk all day. In large amounts these calories add up.
I doubt that a semi-active person that has a couple beers here and there would get a gut from drinking this tasty beverage. In moderation, beer, just like soda, will not make you fat.
As far as I know, DVD-RAM is not compatible at all with standard DVD players at all. DVD-RAM discs are wrapped in a plastic sleeve (like a floppy disk).
I don't think that will fit into your progressive scan DVD player.
Why is it that everytime DVD writers are mentioned there are dozens of comments that state they are waiting for a clear winner in the so called standards war.
We also get dozens of comments that will point out what I am going to say.
BUY A DUAL FORMAT BURNER.
Looking at dvdrhelp.com there are 21 burners out there that do the following formats: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW
I don't see how this applies to brick and mortar retail outlets. Once you include tax on any item ending with.95 your back in the same boat. That is unless the state sales tax is 5%.
Yes it is a shame of the competing standards for DVD burning. However, one thing the parent post didn't mention is that the Sony DRU-500A will burn DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, as well as CD-R and CD-RW.
No need to worry so much about those competing standards with that drive.
That is until something else comes out that is better than all of these....
More generally, I wonder what type of experiences -- good or bad -- the people who've just gone through a forcible @home weaning are experiencing.
I recently tested the new software that Comcast sent me on my girlfriend's machine. It went through and set up all the regular stuff (pop and smtp servers, comcast logo browser, etc...).
I noticed that the USENET server was not set up in her newsreader. I tried testing the usual suspects like news.comcast.net but found that it didn't work. I then placed a phone call to their helpline.
I don't know how knowledgeable this person was but I was told that USENET is not part of the migration to their new network. They don't have any idea when this is going to come online (if at all).
That really sucks since I can get this from a $12/month dial-up connection but my $45/month cable connection can't. Which reminds me...there was a recent $5/month increase to our service charge.

The blurb states: "...closest approach of a natural object ever recorded..."
This village replies: "Yeah, right."
So why the hell do I have a gut?

Ahh yes...I hate it when I do that.

Only 11 states in the US have a 5% sale tax rate.
I, personally, would like to see Iron Man on the big screen.
Bringing the tech of the armor to the movies should be interesting with the effects that are possible today.

Scenes were cut out because of a limitation of the IMAX reels. 120 minutes is the maximum running time for an IMAX movie.
By the way they cut scenes from Apollo 13 (IMAX) for this same reason too.
