My Extreme base-station does not sport an external antenna connector. Upon internal inspection, the circuit board(s) have the same connector as the original tiBook Airport/Orinoco cards. So buy a pigtail, external antenna, drill the hole and plug it in.

Compaq announced migration from Alpha to IPF (Itanium Platform Family) June 25, 2001.
When we announced the HP-Compaq merger September 4, 2001, we further announced:
Alpha => IPF in 2004-2005 PA-RISC => IPF migration ongoing (they had planned this for several years already) Himalaya [Tandem] migration from MIPS to IPF in 2004-2005 We're introducing Alpha EV7 / Marvel systems now, with EV79 systems 1 year from now. This will be the last Alpha systems, although we will sell them, and support them until 2011 minimum.
VMS will be ported to IPF. Tru64 UNIX (primarily TruClusters) will be merged with HP-UX.
As an employee of BNSF, the official line was that we settled this long ago. The court action was only a follow through on the part of the EEOC and others to make sure that other corporations didn't try to do this.

The close-ups of the phoenix made it look like a prop from a 60's monster movie. Very disappointing considering ILM was involved.
