  2. I'm there too... on Overcomming Programmer's Block? · · Score: 4

Recently I've been experiencing the same! I've been calling it "programmer's fatigue". There are probably a few programmers out there that believe "programmer's fatigue" can't be experienced by a REAL programmer... well screw off and blow it out your far heap. I've been programming for 17+ years and its not exactly 'programming' that I'm fed up with. It's the application I'm working on! It's gross, and the spec is completely out of control.

In my experience, I need to be utterly interested in what I'm writing in order to be good at it and turn out a great piece of software. Perhaps you aren't interested in continuing your project... there are obsticles in the world that software can't solve. Screwed up software design specs are one of 'em.

If you're bored with the current app your working on, find something of better interest, and you're productivity will surely pick up again.

So, when you hear reports on CNN (Communist News Network) that people are downloading stuff from Napster, their wrong. Dead wrong.

I think that the music industry has a profound tool here in front of them, probably the best media for reaching a LARGE audience since radio was invented.

  7. HERE'S A SOLUTION on Senate Judiciary Committee On Digital Music · · Score: 1

I think the RIAA should team up with Napster and put an end to this whole thing!! Napster is profitable... obviously, thats the place to be!!

Damn it... if the RIAA would simply team up with Napster, they could share the profits, heavily promote the industry, and experiment with some new merchandising methods.

God damn it... why does everything have to always be so difficult? I remember seeing an episode of Lassie once where Timmy was stuck in a well. There was an easily accessible ladder right next to Timmy that he could have gotten out of the well with, but... instead, Timmy sent lassie to get help... help arrived in the form of a helicopter and they literally air-lifted Timmy out of the well.

    What the fsck?

Send a memo to the RIAA... either be a part of the program or get out of the damn way.

  17. New "Safety" .ZIP files, by Micro$oft. on Microsoft Develops Security-Path for Outlook · · Score: 1
    Dear loyal Microsoft User:

Recently we added security features to Outlook that make your computer safer and less threatening to your children. By doing this, we've also reduced the risk of "CPU Bomb" attacks, where a hacker can turn your CPU into a bomb and blow up your house.

One specific detail of our new security measure is strict limitations placed on .ZIP files. .ZIP files are very dangerous to use and are a playground for hackers transmitting virii. We at Microsoft are among the first to recognize this problem... this is why we are introducing a new type of .ZIP standard... its the new Microsoft SafetyZIP (tm). Its safer to use because nobody can send you a virus in a SafetyZIP file. In fact, nobody will be able to send you anything usefull in a SafetyZIP file... especially those hacker linux users.

The new SafetyZIP standard* utilizes the latest technology in high security email attachments, where only Microsoft programs can send attachments to your inbox.

Hey Blowhard... think of all the time and energy you are consuming in your 'efforts' to be PC. "PC" is a crock of shit, and everyone knows it. As you can see above, the word "MANPOWER" has nothing specific about it regarding MEN! And so what if it did? Does that simple statement alone make it a dirogatory remark? I don't think so.

Check this word out sometime: "NIGGARDLY" ... sounds bad, right? Guess what... it has absolutely nothing to do with black people. -- it means "stingy"... feel free to look it up.

You should really spend more time learning, understanding, and comprehending the english language.

The final thought for the day (This'll send you PC Homos for a loop)... Ever watch BET - Black Entertainment Television? I wonder what would happen if a white guy started White Entertainment Television? It seems to me that a lot of PC only works in one direction.

If you really think about it, the entire concept of political correctness is politically incorect by its own definition! The concept of PC is to favor one thing over another based on its properties... isn't that politically incorrect recursively by it's own definition? Hmmm...

I utilize MANPOWER to be productive... and remember this:
