With the Secret Copyright Treaty the whole Idea is to never allow citizens to know or vote about the contents. The Treaty does get an approval vote but otherwise it is like a Royal Decree, not a law. Thank Obama for this special Treaty. Guaranteed to make Corporations Rich and Jail 1000's.

Pretty damn ironic that "Deregulation" let to scarcity and virtual monopolies. Neat trick. How did they do that? Theoretically a free market should have competition and lower prices. But I guess we Do Not have a free market do we?

As I understand it when Telcom services were deployed across the country, providers were given "regional monopolies" as rewards for investing in the infrastructure needed to bring cable and internet to their area. I don't have any details on this and I believe it would be for a limited time. Also this sort of "regional monopoly" only exists until a competitor comes along. Perhaps TDS Telecommunications feels they are entitled to all of the Internet business in the area at the fees they choose to set. That may explain part of the motivation to sue.

The only reasons for making a treaty secret are sensitive military content or to delay protests until the end. Which could this be?

We have only 2 chances: 1) A majority of Congressmen must vote this abomination down. But the Copyright monopolies will be spreading Millions around Capitol Hill and we need to make our voice heard more loudly. 2) A majority of Congressmen must repeal it. And if you though the bribery was bad in 1) you haven't seen anything. Chance 2) is an incredible long shot. We better hope this no vote, no input present from Obama the great Corporatist doesn't get voted in.

Watch out - not only will you have to enter ID but also means of payment. That way you can be charged and it will facilitate the inevitable tracking that will occur. That way you can be charged for anything copyrighted you happen to view, hear or download. For instance, Google won't have to take down a huge number of videos anymore - it will just flag them as copyrighted and you will pay to see them. (I'm only guessing on this but don't you suppose this and other internet busting rules are in Obama's Secret Copyright Treaty?) But is you cannot pay you will have no internet access. Unless you live in some Scandinavian countries.
