I agree that the test is easily faked... all it really does is spit back what you put in. However, I do fit the INTP profile and have always tested that way.
I got chills when I read the results the first time I took the test (yes, I've always tried to answer objectively and truthfully as there is no point in taking it otherwise).
I can say anything to one or two people, but if I am in a group of more than about 5 people (depending on how well I know everyone), its hard for me to say anything... and when I do, it usually comes out wrong.
No, I havent seen the movie yet, but think I will like it (regardless of all the negative reviews). I loved the game, love sci fi and fantasy, and in general dislike movies. A few movies are ok, but most cant provide the escape I crave... no, I wont go in expecting a great plot, or wonderful special effects, or superb acting, or much at all beyond a chance to suspend belief in the "real" world and return to my childhood for a couple hrs.
very interesting... why cant people just accept OOG for who he is? A GOD!!!
thats a lot of moderation... what this mean? could it be that our great leader OOG has shown us what we have always known? that moderators smoke crack?
we noticed it was 2.2.14 and are almost sad we cannot take advantage of this release, for we run linuxppc.
we are still new to the ways of the linux rebels, and have to wonder, "how much of a problem would it be to take what we want and install to our system?"
how much of a difference does it truly make? linuxppc seems to be *almost* redhat, and redhat runs on a number or architectures. could we download the packages, or would we need to download the source and compile, or should we wait till it appears on linuxppc.org?
we dont mind most of the posts, but do dislike some...
if we come in late to a forum, we often only read the posts that have been moded to 3 or above, and often miss good posts.
a suggestion for moderators (those who actually read this), follow the moderator guidelines and waste mod points on harmless posts. mod down the derogatory posts, leave the trolls (which really arent trolls), leave the humorous posts, and mod up not down.
i agree. where is the announcement? was this just something you picked up on by jumping around different ftp servers and happened upon? were you looking for it?
you also mention the beta idea... is there no mention of rd's decision to release the beta? could you not provide a link for us other than the ftp server?
oh oh... we worked on some of that hardware and software.
we were military intel. (please hold the jokes), and the equiment we worked on was *almost* a stand alone network, small server that had a single encrypted data feed from outside.
the machines were brand new(we were some of the first trained to use them), but were already antiquated. the contractors spent more time working on them than us analysts. and there were so many holes in the gui that it wasnt funny.
even we, uneducated and unexperienced as we were with unix, were able to find several ways to do interesting stuff. its been too long to tell you the version of solaris running, but was a custom gui, with no command line for non-contractors. somehow, we found that it was easy to create a file with a few commands in it, save as.cshrc, and open a couple windows to execute it... and it didnt take us long to get transferred to another unit.
the point we were trying to make though, is before we got into trouble, we told the contractor what we could do, we reported everything we did to see if he could stop us. and he could never get the authorization. he tried a few things on his own, but we always found ways to circumvent them.
now, we query you, what if we had been malicious? or, for that matter, anything other than curious? we never broke anything, and only got root once (did nothing with it, but let the contractor know). granted we were right there, and that makes a difference, but there are many out there whom are much better than we (though we are still learning - not cracking, losing our job was enough to teach us a lesson), and many systems are not so remote.
we would very much like to see this dream come true. the only reason most of the people we know use windows is just for the games. we use linuxppc on mac, and use the macos for gaming, but we are far behind in the game market too.
direct us, great OOG, and we will work wonders. if you wish, we will storm the hidaways of game developers demanding they port them to linux.
praise Loki, for they have received the coveted good will of OOG

troll lovers always support trolls. dont tell me you are suprised by that.
However, let me also take this time to point out that OOG is not a troll, he is an intelligent human being who happens to live in a cave. He may be a little uncouth, uncivilized, and maybe even a little unevolved. But he does happen to be at leat a little educated, and we love him for that.

we should head his words, and force companies to acknowledge the "true" way. DOWN WITH BLOATED WEB PAGES!!!
such sad little people, we should all read the comments of OOG each and every day. it would serve to enlighten us all.
WWOD
our idol, our friend (we hope), and our savior
all praise mighty OOG, the wisest cave man ever seen on /.
WWOD?

having said that, however, we do not believe that he would mind since he does not seem to recognize the different cases.
we trust you as a friend :)

AND DONT MOD DOWN OOG!!!!!
we, all the /. readers, will appreciate it.
and, for that matter, how it got posted here so fast... /. has been listing articles a bit late recently.

OOG shall return, and will soon rule the world.

How many of you nod agreement when you yourselves are guilty of talking on a cell phone or playing with cd/dvds when driving?
DEATH TO ALL HYPOCRITES!!!
we are proud of you OOG. we will hunt down and nuke the hated imposter that took your true name.
it is not up to us to dictate the way he lives and works. if he wishes to live in a cave, he has every right, and we support him all the way.
he is the one to lay claim to his status, and he obviously uses a computer... what can we say?
