    actually I use chrome because every time I go to google homepage it asks me to install it and I get tired of clicking "remind me later". Install now is so much easier than saying no.

    I hate to respond to my own comment and I know this is blatently trollish, but incase you're wondering, Marketwatch reports that Facebook recently partnered with Acxiom "to enable marketers to incorporate off-Facebook purchasing data in order to deliver more relevant ads to users".

    This. I worked with JP Morgan Chase for a brief stint and they sent us to Acxiom for week-long training on how they do data collection and what we could do with it. One of the stories they shared was how if a product was purchased at a Disney store and that same account had previous purchases for children's toys, then we could correlate that account with an address and send the address an offer for a Disney-branded Visa or Mastercard. If I remember right there were over 500 data points on households, not including transaction histories.

    I second this, and highly recommend sharepoint for all you collaboration and intranet purposes as well. As a developer, I can truly say how happy I am when I need to work on a Sharepoint site. Sharepoint even integrates with Outlook! Amazing integration with your existing Microsoft stack!

    I picked up programming in my mid-20s and, after a couple corporate jobs, have been freelancing for the last 11 years or so. I get contacted by recruiters on a weekly and sometimes daily basis, I have a nice network of SMBs that I occasionally work with, there has been no shortage of work. My rates are between 85 and 150/hr, and because I have an LLC, all profits are directly paid to the LLC. I pay less than 10% in taxes at the end of the year after expenses and deductions and what not.

    If you're a good programmer, have decent social skills, and know how to sell yourself, you can easily make 100k+ a year while making your own schedule. Fuck corporate.
