wow, 7 messages regarding a Microsoft related posting before a reference/plug to Linux! You guys are getting slow!:P
Seriously though you have to imagine anything that comes out for WinXP/Windoz users benefit the Linux community sometime...And speaking of IBM, aren't they the big pimps pushin' Open Source & Linux? Why don't they have a Metapad that runs Linux?
I appreciate and understand the slams against M$ from the anti crowd but what are the alternatives? like everyone else they are trying to cut the development costs in implimenting new services for their customers-by developing rapid-applications on a highly available product such as Microsoft Windows will allow. I love Linux so let's not get into a OS war, we're talking Windows on ATM's not Linux on ATM's...
I've haven't seen an MS based ATM in my neck of the woods, but I HAVE seen ATMs that were down for one reason or another-just because it's an M$ ATM means its by default bad?
Yes they are on a network-a closed and highly guarded network-yes the access panels can be picked by a lockpick, but easy? The whole concept of someone picking a lock, installing some trojan on there, and then walking away with the cash is good in a fantasy novel, but highly unlikely-if it does happen let the Bank be damned for not taking the needed protection to its own systems.
I thought Apple was supposed to set trends and innovations to the computer industry? Instead we have MS having their bluetooth enabled keyboard & mouse combo out what, a year ago? and really... a keyboard that lights up? I don't want to pay for that innovation.
I agree going to an x86 platform would greatly benefit everyone, it seems the PPC line has been like a rollercoaster as to its overall lifespan and the lack of dedicated focus compared to Intel and AMD.
I would assume now though it's more of a pride issue than that of logic-especially when their line seems to be named after the processor.
What I think is how amazingly stupid it was to put this up on a news bulletin without figuring out that it's the TransNote! Are you guys getting lazy or what?

Hmmm... I wonder if that's why USEAST has been so friggin' laggy for the past couple of weeks now? All the "crackers" are trying to break in. I am completely fed up with it and would like for Blizzard to ask me what they can do with battle.net-- I dare them!
I will definately NOT miss people begging for SOJ, FROSTBURN, or all the other UNIQUE/RARE's i can never get ahold of.

Thanks for the warning-was wondering will this add to my suite of WM's or is it a replacement for it?
I have been using Gnome and even though everything I have seen from XFce is great, I don't want to lose my options... thanks
no matter how much I wish, I will never be able to buy any Wierd Al tracks...
-I guess I'll just Eat It.
Finally a company with enough courage to protect their customers. I wonder if anyone else will follow?

Sweet-Ninjai does a great job to utilize the Flash technology.
Here, take this. You'll need a good shield and bullet proof vest, how dare you side with M$ on /.! ;)
I would have rather donated to her than that bastard star wars kid for a free iPod.
