The Nigerian scams are the topic of discussion here so that's why you're not hearing so much about Enron. When people are discussing welfare fraud, then that's what you tend to hear about.
For the moment, I'm all cried out over corporate welfare fraud. If I had to go on about the entire list of injustices in the world every time I complained about anything, I'd be doing nothing but complaining and whining! Much like I am right now...
Many (including me) believe that Debian is technically superior to other Linux Distributions. I wouldn't know about HURD having never seen it. However, your reasons for not using it certainly sound religious to me, therefore it would seem that you do view an OS as a religion contrary to your statement.
I hope nobody thinks these guys actually sift through their own mailboxes. If they did, they wouldn't be fighting for the rights of downtrodden spammers to fill them with spam.

Broadband service is not priced on a "pay what you can afford basis". It is a commercial service not public radio.
