  4. I tend to think that these folks didn't come up with the ideas themselves. I think someone needs to look to see if ALEC and other such groups were part of it.

    It doesn't matter who came up with the ideas, it only matters that people believe them.

    It would seem that way, wouldn't it? But since I'm not the one propagandizing for more war on false pretexts, I kinda doubt it. A little note to y'all, stop supplying the terrorists with guns and cash, and the war just possibly, might end. Of course that isn't the goal, but whatever. Leave the religious bullshit outside. I ain't buying it. Hired killers work for money, not for "Allah" or any other deity.

    It's computer programming. "Science" would imply that you know how the computer works. You have to know physics, basic electricity and somewhat advanced mathematics (at the very least logic tables). Otherwise you're just a key puncher, doing rote work.

    Photo op... Too bad nobody took the time to photograph the nice airplanes and limousines that brought these people to their little pow-wow there. I also wonder how much food they left on their plates to be thrown away. Oh, and those nice long hot showers at the five star hotels... We give them nothing but the best..

    I'm not denying it. In fact animal psychology is a favorite subject of mine, what with all the examples I see in everyday life. I just expect better from humans. The choice to act is still personal. Loss of situational awareness is no excuse.

    Yes, well, I will hijack this post to say that this is a political/ceremonial agreement, not a scientific one. The good news is that oil is loosing its sheen, down below $40 a barrel. Yes, we have past peak oil, in a much better fashion than anticipated.
