One of the problems with 'libertarians' is they refuse to acknowledge when the government is simply serving the corporations. For example, though I can't know for sure, it would not surprise me in the least if, in their foreign operations (especially the smaller, 'developing' countries), they bribe the local governments to make it more difficult for competing products to enter the country. They can do this by requiring they put up a small factory, easily affordable by Xerox, they'll even get tax breaks to set it up. Nice way to 'localize' the supplies.

Most 'libertarians' are really Confederates, The Plantation is their ideal.

If you can't find a better alternative, then Xerox (in this case) has proven its case and gained a customer.

Or, more likely, Xerox bought legislation to regulate the competition out of existence. That is the true nature of the system. Take every advantage you can. Use the military might of the state if you must. Whatever it takes to capture that customer.

Why? What do they care? It just costs a bit more to operate in Europe. One more layer of shit is not going to kill them. They can make up for it with more advertising and higher rates. Everything's more expensive there anyway. And besides, they are more than accommodating to governments in China and Saudi Arabia, etc.

Capitalism is reactionary, which is the 'natural' way things are done. It operates like any other natural lifeform, and just flows like a river. Any planning involved is pretty near the same as storing nuts for the winter. And the whole socialism thing being stereotyped here is simply state run capitalism in a very closed exclusive market. They have to make deals with the people they can't conquer also. Where capitalist countries practice their slave trade outside their borders, the Soviet/Chinese style 'socialists' maintain the same thing domestically. Ultimately, everything is capitalist. Read the contract. The relevant part says, *Payment due...* Even the most godless commies discuss little else. And I never said central planning was successful. Desires of the flesh preclude the possibility at this point in our evolution.

For a job that only lasts three years? That's not even worth arguing for the sake of sophistry.

Gotta do whatever is necessary to keep the idiots away. And I want to make sure they know they are there to serve. Right now the job attracts too many flies. It should damn near be volunteer work. And if we can't get enough 'volunteers', we ought to start drafting them into service. Now, of course nobody has to do any of this, but if they are seriously concerned at all about corruption, they need to consider it. Most of the so-called 'reforms' people talk about are extremely superficial, you could even say it's just *lipstick on a pig*.
