    Not really. It's a good way to get free press. And this issue could use a little more. Unless we can 'sunset' these treaties, we shouldn't be so hasty to pass them.

    Use Seamonkey.. It looks old, and it's at least as fast as Firefox, and with better security options. It has an email client, and an HTML editor, it'll play all the latest videos, and make popcorn. It's the browser that does everything, and it only weighs a few meg more than Firefox. It's a *Full Figured* browser.

    Yes they all would play, that's why I quit pre-loading tabs until I click on them. The videos would start playing even on the tabs I wasn't looking at. Damn noise could wake the dead.

    There is no reason whatsoever for any video to autoplay.

    What Madison Avenue wants, Madison Avenue gets. It's just a money thing, that only they can understand.

    Normally I did also, until the damn videos would start playing, and I couldn't the find the tab it was playing in. So, off it goes, minor inconvenience.

    The spying is still happening.

    That's right... Nothing has changed. And Mr. Snowden hasn't been watching the elections recently. Right wing nationalism is all the rage and making a big comeback. Mass media says a lot about surveillance, but at election time the people still don't give a shit.

    Tabs don't pre-load until I click on them. It would just be better if we can just turn off autoplay. But, advertisers... they make the rules

    I would put my trust in municipal and state fiber before taking a chance with Google, which could just call it quits on a whim if precedence is to mean anything. Circumvent the politicians and put the initiative on the ballot.

    Voter initiatives to install municipal infrastructure (fiber, cable, etc) and outlaw monopoly franchise agreements. This way you don't have to wait for corrupt politicians to do it.
