Demonizing is the real ploy. They know it can't really be regulated, but if they get the public to vilify encryption users as criminals, mission accomplished! So far these methods are enjoying a small measure of success.
Bla bla bla, imaginary numbers belong the the classroom and the derivatives market. Tear down the walls and tell me how much the global financial sector puts out. By the way, it's the financial sector that is causing these problems with their puppet emperors in place. Borders exist for the sole benefit of human traffickers and the financial sector, and that is what this H1-B crap is about. Tear down the walls and we can drive everybody's wages up, not down, with more benefits, not less. And when it comes to resources, all the 'technical' issues wind up being purely political in nature, always a disagreement over the price. We throw away over half of what produce. Abundance is definitely the elephant in the room, big and nasty, and stinky! The entire idea is such an anathema to the financial sector that it must be put down quickly and definitively. You are proving yourself to be quite useful:-)
There won't be a 'home country'. Home is where you live. Better to make the social programs global. There's plenty of money locked up in the financial industry to do it.
Exactly, you can show them committing the most heinous of crimes, and they still win the vote. It is still a personal problem within the voters. The real game here is plainly psychological. Politics is just a blunt instrument.
Please, you are talking nonsense. There is no 'immediacy' here. If the gang banger takes two years to assault you, I believe your chances of avoiding it are pretty good.
Commit murder with encryption? Maybe with one of those Model M Keyboards... But I would have to say, a steam iron works just as well.

We're from the government and we're here to help you...
'The most terrifying words you can hear' Ronald Reagan
Self fulfilling prophecy!
By default....
Sorry, election results all over say exactly the opposite.
In case you thought something happened, it didn't. All that showboating you saw in congress was exactly that.
Governments of the world must die!
Eh, lawyer talk. All sorts of people describe tax evasion as stealing. What's a metaphor?
:-) The propaganda comes in many forms, and apparently it is working quite well... a wave of the hand, standing for the queen, and voila!

Is it 'stealing' when a Canadian drives across the border and buys something in the US?
If they are evading the duty tax, the government might think so.
Ah, okay, you're one of those... never mind
Of course not! You're scared of things you don't understand. You were taught to be scared by your TV set. Freedom is scary... to some people
1) Stopping at a stop sign to avoid a traffic ticket.
2) No email or social media account? What are you trying to hide? Guilty!
3) No credit card? Terrorist! Drug smuggler!
And like any crime, the prosecutor will have to prove it in court...
In the meantime you rot... and go broke... lose your family... the list goes on.
If you obey the law simply to avoid prosecution, are you then a criminal?
Why should we accept "orders are orders...?
Very simply because the winners write the rules.
If they really want that, they can make free to download and share.

Then buy a tank and mow them all down...

Doesn't matter.. just keep voting them out. We don't need term limits or anything like that. The power is ours to give away.
Sure this isn't some Baidu thing?
Why don't you tell that to the people that vote for him? Without them where would he be?
what do you do?
What you don't do is reelect the SOB. We suffer a 98% reelection rates because submissive, lazy people simply can't be bothered to work the system.
Bad analogy...
