See for yourself. Sure, that's high end now, but in the future? Anyway, there you go, ten days (so sue me) will eat a little more than a petabyte. So now I would have to stripe 10 or 20 of these SSDs to hold it all. Now what will my failure rate be?

On the other hand I still prefer SSDs over all the monkey motion going on in a hard drive. I'm just pointing out that a petabyte doesn't mean much anymore. And I still remember having a 20 meg drive and thinking I'll never use it all.

This so-called "scandal" does not hold a candle to the real abuses of this and past regimes. In fact, I consider it a diversion from those issues. These people are crying over unearned privileges, and they are successfully lumping all dissent with the crazies out there stomping their feet. It only fortifies the things we should be tearing down.

Personally, I don't vote for either, but I still have to live with the results. The IRS has always been used as a weapon. That's what it is designed for. I find their treatment of regular individuals much more scandalous. This 501 thing is bullshit anyway. As far as I'm concerned, political campaign financing is nothing but money laundering, and the 501 status is legitimized tax evasion. So I have no sympathy for these people seeking it, "conservative" or "liberal". I put them in quotes because those labels are also bullshit. Let's not pretend that harassment of one's political enemies is anything new. It's only now with the demographic threat showing its face that people are starting to whine about it. The depth of the problem lies strictly with the voters. It psychological, not political. Politics is only the result of the psyche. And it is a simple matter of tracing it all back to our most basic of basic instincts. It is not even conscious. It is a reaction of the primitive brain to its environment. The sociopaths understand this perfectly, and their expertise cannot be denied. But no matter what, the onus is on us, not the people we reward for their bad behavior.
