Lavabit had apparently complied with much more limited surveillance demands in the past, but then decided they weren't going to do that any more... This one rests on Lavabit.
This is true. Once you sell your soul, it's pretty tricky business trying to buy it back.
Yeah, I'd kinda like to think that the quid pro quo was between the politicians and the voters.. But that's just me
I don't know why people make such a big thing out of speech. It's just words, and when they conflict with observation, they can be discarded as false. Nobody is required to believe what they see and hear.
...give tax incentives or other incentives for companies that go out of their way to hire locals...
I'd rather take away the tax incentives for going overseas... It's the bad behavior that is being rewarded right now. These new "free trade" deals are going to make things much worse.
In many places it's illegal, but the only real offense is taking the bribe. We shouldn't vote for people who can't resist the temptation, and if they fall while in office, they should be removed post haste. No "punishment" is necessary.
Well have no fear. The next administration will be worse still. That has been the trend for at least fifty years. Though I am interested in knowing, like another responder asked, which lies were worse than the ones that got the US into two wars, for instance, three if you want to count Vietnam.
And why do you call him a "bozo"? Wall Street is doing great. You gotta admit, the man is moving lots of money. Sorry you weren't invited to the party. If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't either...
Great! You're "insured". I hope you don't have to put it through any kind of "stress test"... Getting insurance is easy. Just make sure the hospital sends the bill to them.
...this is the worst administration for lies in our lifetime...
Aside from being the current administration, which should be held responsible while there is time, not after they all died, what could possibly be the reason to single this one out amongst the predecessors, especially over the last thirty years?
Don't care. If amplifying it speeds up the process, then it's all good. Fast response is the priority.
That's just too bad. Public announcement is the way to fix the problem as fast as possible.
Don't start with me, mother... you had your chance
It's called a scam. They should have pulled out sooner :-)

So, when it hits the ground, it will cause an earthquake in Wyoming? Damn Chinese, even trying to mess with our fracking...
Hey! That's a good idea. Put a 500% tariff on everything that's not made here. Who care who makes it?
Google is a "non-traditional source"?
He paid Dice 25 cents
WOAH! I'm goin' to the movies!
Yeah, that's gonna send any company to a chapter 11 instantly.
Yes, if you want to run up huge debts, then force your creditors into renegotiating their contracts, Chapter 11 is ideal.
Just think how much money Microsoft would make by just shutting down. This is extortion, you know, extortion by copyright/patent
Deary me! Aren't we sensitive tonight! And check your prefs!
Why are you being modded down? For the font? And yes, they produce the results they are told to produce. That's how they play their game.
Really man! And nothing confirms this story like an official denial. (I think that's how it goes)

Impropriety is the act of taking the bribe, not offering it. The issue should be the love of money, not the money itself.
Yeah, the flaw is that it wasn't hidden well enough..
