    Lavabit had apparently complied with much more limited surveillance demands in the past, but then decided they weren't going to do that any more... This one rests on Lavabit.

    This is true. Once you sell your soul, it's pretty tricky business trying to buy it back.

    Yes, if you want to run up huge debts, then force your creditors into renegotiating their contracts, Chapter 11 is ideal.

    Yeah, I'd kinda like to think that the quid pro quo was between the politicians and the voters.. But that's just me

    I don't know why people make such a big thing out of speech. It's just words, and when they conflict with observation, they can be discarded as false. Nobody is required to believe what they see and hear.

    I'd rather take away the tax incentives for going overseas... It's the bad behavior that is being rewarded right now. These new "free trade" deals are going to make things much worse.

    In many places it's illegal, but the only real offense is taking the bribe. We shouldn't vote for people who can't resist the temptation, and if they fall while in office, they should be removed post haste. No "punishment" is necessary.

    Impropriety is the act of taking the bribe, not offering it. The issue should be the love of money, not the money itself.

    Well have no fear. The next administration will be worse still. That has been the trend for at least fifty years. Though I am interested in knowing, like another responder asked, which lies were worse than the ones that got the US into two wars, for instance, three if you want to count Vietnam.

    And why do you call him a "bozo"? Wall Street is doing great. You gotta admit, the man is moving lots of money. Sorry you weren't invited to the party. If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't either...

    Aside from being the current administration, which should be held responsible while there is time, not after they all died, what could possibly be the reason to single this one out amongst the predecessors, especially over the last thirty years?
