    Capacity we have plenty of, just like food and water and everything else. Distribution and who's in control are the outstanding issues that need to be dealt with.

    I was under the impression that a Peltier could go both ways, and it uses the Seebeck effect for it

    What effect will this have on the problem? Are the advertisers gonna say, "Oh, gee, I guess we better close up shop and go home"? I think we need to take this further and file claims against advertisers that consume our limited bandwidth. 20 million complaints in small claims court might just work. Cell phone spammers should suffer the same in places where people pay to receive calls.

    I can agree with that, but I still believe that Yahoo's intention aren't exactly 'honorable'. Any 'heroics' on their part are entirely incidental, and they still 'lost', for what that's worth. I see it as a charade, and it would behoove the EFF to dig a little deeper. Otherwise these 'awards' look entirely political in nature.

    Ortega is a puppet. If he doesn't do what he is told, he will be removed, kind of like what happened to Noriega and Zelaya from Honduras. I mean, has he accomplished land reform of any kind, or do anything to reduce the power of foreign 'investors'? As far as I'm concerned he's a stooge for the CIA, smuggling contraband and laundering money. As it is, he does serve a purpose, even if only for propaganda to justify US meddling in the region. The US is in complete control..

    What was this fact downmodded? Because it sounds anti-American? The US government created Panama out of land it stole from Colombia and is in change of all of Central America. What's the beef in stating that?

    Aside from that, the shippers were pretty dumb to try to take contraband through the canal. Oh well...

    It can stay independent? Of what? It would be presumptuous to say big NGOs are any less corrupt than anything else. The only workable solution is to abandon DNS and any other protocol that is vulnerable to such abuses. Nobody's stopping the Russians from setting up their own 'internet' with their own servers for their own purposes.

    That's right, and this article has me beginning to doubt the objectivity of the EFF and has me wondering why they are kissing corporate ass. It's like giving the Nobel to Obama. Pure bullshit. Neither Yahoo or any other company of its size will ever act heroically in any fashion. The have no reason to do so. The best they will ever do is put on these fine displays to pump up the share price for a couple days and to pacify us useless takers.

    They will risk jail and disregard all gag orders as a clear violation of free speech rights. I'm not impressed with show trials while secret deals are made in the back room.
