ha, that would be funny if you locked up the shareholders for an amount of time depending on how much of the company they owned. The corp gets sentenced to 5 years, and you own 1% of the company... therefore you do 91.3 days in jail.
No one is actively raping and pillaging their neighbors. People's homes aren't being burned with government approval. You won't be murdered and your gold teeth pried out if you ride a Kombi outside Johannesburg. Not everyone you meet has aids and does nothing to prevent its spread.
. ..
Wait, is this sarcasm? I thought that rape and murder were still big big problems in S.A. Am I mistaken?
You do realize that if insurance companies do not discriminate against pre-existing conditions, they cannot possibly stay in business.
And why should I be forced into helping them stay in business?
Not that I'm against universal healthcare, I do feel that, like free public education, it is a net benefit to society. But I definitely had issues with this bill.
I don't think it is right that we should be forced to do business with a private company. I think there should be the option to put up a bond, or to have a public healthcare option.
But there are other issues with everybody buying in... I am worried that this is going to lead to people wanting to get all up in my business. Since now everyone is paying for each other's health, that may give people a "right" to say I can't smoke, I can't ride a bike without a helmet, I can't eat trans fats, I can't have unprotected sex... is anyone worried that these sorts of things may become legislated (more than they might be already)?
And on the subject of illegals... I very much want them to have health care, and I hope that they pay for it. An illegal can fill out a tax return... shouldn't that mean that they are included in this mandate as well?
Finally, how do we go about having portable digital med records that are secure while ensuring that a national ID network doesn't get created? Is it in the interest of people to be able to have more than one med record? Is it wrong to want to keep certain medical issues out of the hands of certain medical professionals?
Am I rambling yet?
That is a ridiculous setup. Intuitively, pressing the 'a' key should let you start inserting characters after the cursor location.

I'm from Los Angeles - driving is pretty much a right, as necessary to life as breathing the air we pollute by driving.
You don't have to have auto insurance to drive in CA - you may post a $35,000 bond instead.
"give me convenience or give me death!)
One day a Google or Bookface program is gonna misread that and think, "Jeezuz...that poor dude really needs a crap!"...and a
plumbing supply rep will be knocking on your door in no time flat."
Ok...you COMPLETELY lost me on this one. What does what he said even remotely have to do with a plumber?
