i know that's not spelled correct, but it was a pretty good movie. i think. i don't know for sure. I was too stoned/drunk to comprehend. i think it had something to do with hitler's son. but like i said, i was too blasted to know.
Trying to get a DSL line through Flashcom, or any providor is nearly impossible for the same reasons. (atleast for me)
I was trying to get a 1.1mbps SDSL line, and was told be flashcom, AND covad that i was close enough to get this. However, when covad came out to test the phone loop, and check everything, i wasn't even eligible to get 1/10th of the speed. (Very discouraging to say the least) As it was, they said they would call my phone company, Ameritech and see if the could do something with the phone lines. After about a month went by with no calls back, i finally called flashcom who had no idea what was happening, and told me to check with covad. Called covad, and the same thing, they had no clue what was going on. Called Ameritech, and i just got into the "never ending loop" where you just get transfered from 1 person to another to another, and no one knows what the heck is happening or going on, or what you are even talking about! I finally gave up, and cancelled my order because of it. Just doing co-location now for my company instead of hosting it in my bedroom:) figured it might be a better way.
Ok, the starting of metallica was rough, being a metal band in the 80's had many challenges, and the hardest thing was getting your name out there so that people actually know who you are. If i recall correctly, the biggest way that metallica really got started was by giving out bootlegs of thier material, or letting bootlegs of live concerts go around to the public. Why didn't they stop it right there? Because it helped them too much. The way i see it, napster is a great way for new bands to get started and to get some recognition. I think we all know that MTV won't play metal bands because they are too concerned about luring in 13 year old girls with all thier boy bands. Me personally, i've downloaded a couple of CDs from napster, and if i really liked the music, i went out and actually bought the CD. Since i've started using napster, i've actually bought MORE CDs, because i've heard of a lot of newer bands, and was able to listen to thier music before i bought it. anyways, my question is, by doing this, don't you think it's going to hurt smaller bands that don't have that much recognition instead of helping them?
I never saw the first post of this, and i guess it's a good thing that i didn't, because i would have gone off on ranting and raving. Personally, i think this is seriously wrong. To get a fucking prize for saying someone is depressed? you know how many people would have new clothes every week just from me alone? depression in school is tough, and guidance conselors and whatnot do not help in anyway. hell, i even say a shrink for awhile, what did he teach me? to argue my points stronger as to why this world is BS, and how none of it really matters, and none of it is worth a shit. these are my opinions to this day, and yet if this were happening in my school while this program was going on? what? someone would get a cap? would get a fucking t-shirt? that sounds like t-shit to me. look, i'm sorry if i'm going off the topic, or for all the profanity, but i'm just typing, and i'm really upset about this. hell, i didn't even read the full body of text (which i prolly should have) but the first couple lines are just enough for me. To me, i think this is sickening. appearently these people have never been depressed. And they don't know what it's like to live like that, and then on top of it to have a PROFIT organization be told about it, and then have them do whatever, counsole? who knows, like i said, i'm sorry if i'm going off topic, or just saying stuff that really doesn't mean anything to you. but i'm too irritated with this. i seriously.... ugh.
Wow, i should find that one guy that came into my store and claimed he had his 8g HD partitioned 4 times, one partition for win3.1, one for win95, one for win98, and the other one for when win2k comes out. i bet he would really be pleased with this.:)
