Well thanks, that sorted it out:) The file was missing after menuconfig and a kernel compile though. But when thinking of it I'm using make-kpkg (debianism), been using that since I started with debian so I don't really think about it anymore. Could be that kpkg is messing up or that it is just my source tree.
Seems like version.h is missing from include/linux in this release (I patched from 2.6.4). Made my ATI binary driver fail the compile, though by copying my 2.6.3 version.h file fixed it. I thought the version.h file where used by several other prgograms that compiles against the kernel. Am I missing something obvious here ?

Well, that's a truth with modifications. The VMWare ESX server uses Linux more like a bootloader that using it as the base OS (mutch like Netware did/does with DOS or whatever).

This allows it to more fully manage the hardware resources and provide the highest levels of security and performance isolation. ESX Server also incorporates a console operating system based on a Linux 2.4 kernel that is used to boot the ESX Server virtualization layer. It also runs ESX Server administration applications.
The funny thing is that a friend of mine just bought a brand new ATI Radeon 9800XT and got just that. Not the game exactly but a pice of paper with a serial key on saying that _when_ the game is released he'll get a free copy of HL2.
Well it could be in quite good use at rice fields around in asia, especially in malaria infected areas. As long as it kills the malaria larve (or what it is called)
